FAQ
Do you have a sliding scale?
Yes! I want to pay teaching artists well and offer classes that artists of all incomes can afford. Please pay where you can on the scale.
Do you record classes?
I don’t record my classes. Some of the instructors I bring in are happy to record though. Feel free to ask and I’ll check in with them.
How big are your classes?
The size of classes is up to the individual instructor. Most classes so far have been 10-15 people.
Can I do a payment plan?
Yes! Just message me
Do you do refunds?
Your money goes directly into the hands of working artists and we make the decision about whether to run a class based on enrollment so we can’t offer refunds. Occasionally, if there’s room in a future session, I’ll be able to offer a make-up class.
Will you read my play and give me notes?
I invented a service just for this! Script Feedback gives you the chance to work on your play with some of my favorite artists who I trust with my own early drafts. This service is on a sliding scale just like the classes.
How does the Free Application Help program work?
When you fill out the form you will be added to a mailing list and start receiving emails about new application help appointments. I usually open registration for four writers at a time. We will do a half-hour session the first week and then a half-hour session the second week after you’ve had time to rewrite.
I have an application I’m working on now. Can we meet before it’s due?
I offer these sessions whenever I can, but often I have to take a hiatus to plan the next round of classes or put up a play. Don’t worry, you’re on the list and will hear from me when I make new appointments available. There’s just one of me and a lot of you so please be patient! I’m excited to work with you.
